When I relocated from Canada back to Germany I started a little website to better explain where we would move to my wife and family. At that time the Google Maps API was very popular and the newer and easier Integration features (e.g. kml, My Maps...) not available yet.

I am both excited and wary about online social networks. I have to admit that they're excellent tools to stay in touch with friends and coworkers - especially when you relocate and move on to greener pastures.
